SMT is continuing its network expansion into the United States for Construction Equipment with the acquisition of Sierra Machinery and its operations throughout West Texas and Southern New Mexico.
The closing of the sale was on July 25 and represents the transfer of ownership of Sierra Machinery Inc and its two locations in El Paso, Texas and Artesia, New Mexico. This company was founded by brother and sister Al and Maria Teran in 1981 and is the exclusive Volvo Construction Equipment Distributor in West Texas and Southern New Mexico.
SMT represents over 75 years of experience in the Construction Equipment industry and currently operates in thirty one countries in Europe, Africa, and in the US. The company, considered as high-performing dealer by Volvo, provides advanced solutions to the industry.
