SMT is a leading full-service distribution company specializing in machinery and trucks. Our focus is on providing equipment for the construction, material handling, recycling, and transport industry. Launched in 2010, we are a relatively young company. Nevertheless, with recent acquisitions, we have already obtained significant heritage that dates back to 1946. This mix of energy and international experience gives us the advantage of a synergetic environment.
We are active in large parts of Africa, in Great Britain, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. We hold a longstanding track record of working exclusively in our markets with global quality brands like Volvo CE, Sennebogen and Holms. In Africa, we also work with other A-brands and quality trucks. That makes it easier to set our standards and goals as high as we do.

International footprint
Our international footprint spreads from Europe to the heart of Africa. It encompasses 30 countries and over 1,600 employees. History Highlights
As from 2010, we rapidly grew our dealerships in Africa and are now active in more than 25 African countries. We offer the whole range of Volvo Equipment: Volvo Construction Equipment, Volvo Trucks, Volvo Bus and marine & industrial engines with Volvo Penta. In addition to Volvo products, we are also the official dealer of Sennebogen Green Line, Dressta, SDLG, Sandvik, Mack Trucks, Dongfeng, Marcopolo and Volare.
In 2015, in order to further expand the international growth, SMT acquires the Kuiken Group. In the Netherlands, that dealership dates back to 1946 when the cooperation started with Volvo CE. As a family-owned business, Kuiken had established a longstanding track record in trading and maintaining construction equipment. VCM, the brand name for the Volvo CE dealership in Belgium and Luxembourg, became part of the Kuiken Group in 1992. It had already been active in these countries since 1984. In 1993 they added the Sennebogen dealership to it.
In 2017 SMT acquires the Volvo CE dealership in Great Britain. Their experience starts in 1962 with a privately owned dealership. In 1989 it was partially controlled by Volvo CE and it became 100% Volvo owned in 1995.
Today, we maintain our high standards and create value for our customers, suppliers and employees, by the integrated solutions we offer. They are tailored to each environment and exceed the expectations of our customers.
