FIAN Senegal 2023
Until the 20th century, the sea penetrated up to 250km inland along the Senegal River, the river that delimits the northern border of Senegal, making it unfit for cultivation. In the late 1980s, the Diama was built. As an anti-salt dam, it allows a new agricultural activity to develop in the region of Saint-Louis.
It is on this emblematic place and initiator of a new agriculture that takes place the International Agricultural Fair of the North (FIAN Senegal) from 9 to 11 June 2023.
