The All-Rounder For Agriculture;
This Volvo L70H fitted with a hydrauically folding silage fork, can ramp up and push as much as 14 tonnes a time building silage clamps. When used on grain handling duties it fills a 6m3 bucket with around 4 tonnes per load with ease. The machine is fitted with Michelin 750/65 Mega XBib wheel and tyre assemblies, additional work lights & has a reversible fan for working in the grain sheds.
Single lever control and Comfort Drive Control (CDC) were the deciding factors for choosing the versatile Volvo L70H. CDC is used for working in tight spaces with the steering wheel only being used when driving on the road. Boom suspension makes for smooth driving on the roads and the load-over-height is perfect for loading manure into high-sided bulkers. This L70H also works on silage clamps and loads trailers with straw bales using a bespoke bale clamp.
This highly specified L110H was chosen for its fuel efficiency, productivity and reliability. It features a 7m3 high-tip bucket capable of loading 100 tonnes of material into their anaerobic digester per day. The machine can easily change to a hydraulically folding grass fork for handling silage and also features 750/65 Michelin XBIB agricultural wheel and tyre assemblies which will enable the machine to work on the company’s farm lands when needed.
A Volvo L110H fitted with a Triomaster S300 3m3 silage cutter with fixed blade. This bespoke attachment is designed to effortlessly cut or shear through silage without moving the stack. This ensures the silage wall remains intact and isn’t pulled loose or otherwise disturbed. This machine is used to feed a Biomass plant with maize and rye silage and works two shifts per day, seven days a week.
